Introducing Charm Drops
KeyChain's service to deliver new unlockable content to your account
As we hinted at in our last announcement, we wanted a way to communicate when we release new unlockable content into the KeyChain ecosystem, and we’ll be doing that with Charm Drops.
A nod to the term “content drop” — often used in video games or other services — Charm Drops are release notes which specifically detail batches of new unlockable content for KeyChain such as new awards (achievements, badges, and trophies) or new avatars and backgrounds for your playercard. There will be times that release notes (for new features) and Charm Drops (for new content) are released in tandem, but we’ll split these out into separate posts.
One thing we’ve stated as a goal for KeyChain is to keep providing players with new content to hopefully keep them engaged with KeyForge for years to come, and Charm Drops will be playing a major role in our effort.
We’ll be kicking things off with Charm Drop 1: The Award Goes To… which will include our initial batch of awards. You won’t have to wait long, the Awards feature and Charm Drop 1 release this Thursday, June 5. Check back then for the full list!
